Terms & Conditions

    Parties, Definitions and Interpretation

  1. In these terms and conditions, “Customer” means the customer for whom the work is to be carried out by My Flat Packs.
  2. The Customer is one person only. If My Flat Packs carries out work for businesses, one representative must be named to communicate and is responsible for payment, for the entire duration of the arrangement.
  3. Except invoices, documentation and paperwork cannot be issued to the Customer until My Flat Packs have been paid in full for the services provided.
  4. Estimates and Rates

  5. Our official rates are available on our homepage, www.myflatpacks.com. These are subject to change at our discretion.
  6. There is a minimum charge of one hour for all work jobs.
  7. Estimates are based on our experience as handymen and the current climate. Quotes given by My Flat Packs are valid to Customers for 7 days after the date of issue.
  8. If you require My Flat Packs to shop for materials for you, you will be charged our regular hourly rate per handyman.
  9. If the work is carried out at a height of greater than 10 feet (3 metres) above floor level, then the higher rate of work will apply.
  10. My Flat Packs reserve the right to increase their prices.

    Payment of Services

  11. Payment can be made by cash, debit or credit card. We also accept online transfers through our secure vendor PayPal (you do not need an account to make a payment). Prompt payment by the Customer is due on completion of the work.
  12. My Flat Packs reserves the right to request an upfront payment on any jobs.
  13. My Flat Packs will readily provide invoices for businesses, companies and individuals. However, payment of services is due within the same timescales stated above.
  14. If payment is not made, My Flat Packs reserve the right to:
    1. Charge the Customer statutory interest in the amount unpaid.
    2. Charge the Customer for reasonable expenses and costs, including legal costs for third-party debt recovery services, incurred by My Flat Packs in the collection of overdue payments.
  15. Cancellations

  16. Cancellations are to be declared, by email, to info@myflatpacks.com.
  17. Cancellations given less than 24 hours in advance will incur a one hour charge (see below).
  18. If My Flat Packs arrive at the premises of work without a prior cancellation by email, the Customer will be charged:
    1. One hour for one handyman
    2. Two hours for two handymen
    3. Three hours for three handymen
  19. Liabilities, Other

  20. It is the Customer’s responsibility to cordon off babies, pets, small animals, livestock and birds from the area of work, for the entire duration of the service provided.
  21. My Flat Packs does not accept liability for any injury to persons, domestic animals, livestock, birds or any loss or damage to property or goods, unless due to our negligence on site. Should such damage or injury occur, the Customer must notify My Flat Packs within 7 days of the incident.
  22. My Flat Packs does not provide qualified advice by telephone, and cannot be held liable for advice the Customer has received.
  23. If any complaints are to be made, please ensure they are sent in writing to info@myflatpacks.com.
  24. My Flat Packs cannot be held liable for costs claimed by the Customer from a) non attendance or late attendance on site of My Flat Packs, or b) for late or non-delivery of materials/goods which are faulty or incorrectly supplied.
  25. My Flat Packs will take every measure to make sure premises are left tidy after the delivery of work. However, we do not collect waste, flatpack packaging and rubbish for disposal. The disposal of these items is left to the discretion of the Customer.
  26. The Customer is expected, where reasonably possible, to provide running water, lavatory facilities and electrical power for the duration of the work provided.
